Who We Are
The Cedar Rapids Metro Disc Golf Club was formed in 2018 to organize the voices of area disc golfers in a way that would enrich the sport in our city. In August 2020, the derecho that wreaked havoc across Eastern Iowa also razed our beloved courses. Shaver Park, nestled in a wooded corner of Cedar Rapids, was hit the hardest.
Volunteer Impact
After years of cleanup, club members have logged hundreds of hours clearing debris and working to rebuild Shaver Park.
Many local small businesses and the City of Cedar Rapids have been instrumental in providing equipment and guidance along the way.
As we enter the final phase of this momentous project, the club is seeking donations to fund the remaining landscaping work and other materials costs.
YOU can help!
We are offering tee sign sponsorships starting at $500, with donations directly benefiting the work at Shaver Park. Your name will be printed on a new tee sign, to be installed at the course for a sponsorship period of five years.
Already have a hole number in mind? Let us know! We can accommodate specific requests, subject to availability.
Your support is critical, and we are incredibly grateful for the community who has helped revive our courses. To sponsor a sign, please send a request to board@crmdg.com. Sign payment deadline is June 1, 2023.
